Padova WIFI and Padova WEB are available almost in the whole city. Free access, no registration required, only select “padova wifi” or “padovaweb” and connection is automatic.
Free access at Dept of Psychology – Building Psicologia. Username and password will be provided at the Registration Desk.
Badges must be visibly worn at all times, also during coffee breaks and lunches.
Coffee Breaks and Lunches
Coffee breaks and lunches will be served free of charges at the congress to fully registered participants wearing their badges. Please note that vegetarian dishes will be on the daily menu; for other special needs, we aim to provide a variety of foods including alternatives in case of special diet restriction.
In registering for the Meeting, participants agree that neither the Scientific/Organizing Committees nor the Organizing Secretariat assumes any liability. Participants should therefore organize their own health and travel insurance.
Pharmacies can provide medicaments for most common ailments. There are all-night pharmacy open every day: a sign on the door of any pharmacy will help you to locate the closest one.
Persons with Special Needs
Every effort has been made to ensure that people with special needs are catered for during the congress. Should you require any specific assistance, please let us know in advance to enable to assist in making your stay in Padova a pleasant and comfortable one.
Banks – ATM - Currency
All banks in Italy exchange foreign currency and traveller's cheques.
The local currency is € (Euro). There are no restrictions on the importing of foreign currency into Italy, nor are there limits for traveller's cheques.
Banks are open from Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 1.30 pm and generally open for one hour early in the afternoon.
Automatic teller machines and exchange offices are readily available. ATM are available in two banks near Palazzo Bo (in Piazza Cavour, 50 meters on the left) but not at the other Conference venues.
Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept major credit cards but check first.
Shops in the centre of Padova are open from Tuesday to Saturday 9.00 - 19.30, and on Monday 15.30 – 19.30. On Sunday and public holidays shops are generally closed but may open during high season.
Malls are open every day from 9.00 to 21.00.
Tipping up to 10% for outstanding service is of course accepted, but not necessarily expected in Italian restaurants, hotels and taxis.
Mail and Telecommunication
Post offices display the sign PT in blue on a yellow background. At a PT office you can telephone, send mail, telegrams and faxes. For local calls you may buy phone cards here or in any tobacconist. When calling abroad from Italy, you must first dial the International code "00", then country code and private number. Italy Country Code is +39 and Padova City Code is 049. Emergency numbers: Police 113, Ambulance 118, Fire 115.
